I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas and New Year! We did! Nothing like Christmas with little ones running around. They loved every second of the whole season.

I have to mention what my little Zion did. She is such a stinker! I had just stepped out of the shower and could smell smoke so I whipped the door open and looked down the hall to see that my kitchen was filled with smoke! When I yelled to Steve that something was burning, he informed me that Zion had tried to cook a hot dog in the microwave. He was in our bedroom with the door shut, so he didn't realize it until Nikoli went into our room and said, "DAD! Someone put a piece of POOP in the microwave!" Thankfully it wasn't poop, but it did look like it! That poor hot dog was shriveled to about 3 inches long and completely black! Nikoli said Zion had the time set for "like, an hour!" I don't know how long it was actually there, but it was well done for sure. Our microwave still smells like smoke when we use it.

It's official! I'm now the primary president for my ward. How do you say anxiety? Not really. I am actually looking forward to it. Zion just entered the sunbeam class and Nikoli will be getting baptized this year. It will be fun to be in primary with my kids. I know the ladies that I'm working with will be awesome and full of great ideas and hard work.

I am really grateful for opportunities like these. I love getting to know the ladies I work with. I learn a LOT from my sisters and friends who share the same experiences in motherhood. I really feel like being a mom is the most important calling a woman can have! I mean, it's definitely not a job you want to suck at, right?! I just feel like I have really great friends in that they go far beyond the call of duty. Not necessarily that they have their kids involved in every extra-curricular activity or community team and lessons for 20 different musical instruments each, but TRULY amazing mothers who spend time teaching, loving, ENJOYING their kids. I really mean that, so thanks, Jackie H., Mom, Linda J., Monica M., Kim D., Jeanne M., Marie G., Marie O., Kellie W., Summer W., Shannon B., Shanna T., Julie H., Tara T., Viki B., Mel H., Sherri M., Tauni R., Lisa K., Shae B., Lori A., Lori L., Sunny M., Jana J., you are all amazing. I really wish I had more time to write more stuff. But I really have to go now.

Buh-bye!

Nothin' like a little poop in the microwave! At least it wasn't in an Arby's wrapper, or else you wouldn't have a microwave to use anymore!

What a nice post. I think you ladies will do great in primary! I saw Sarah getting the closet ready for you on Tuesday, and Tammy getting your theme up; it is very pretty this year.
Thanks for the compliment by the way :)

That story was so funny Nikki! I learned that if you put some baking soda and water in a cup or a coffee mug and let it run for a few min in the microwave it will take out the burning nasty smell! trust me, I've had to do it plenty of times! My kids like to make top Ramen in the microwave and forget the water!!! :)
Thanks for the shout out too! You are the best!!

Ditto to you on being an example of agreat mother. I am sad that we couldn't be in the same ward for longer. Your kids are so sweet. Glad you had a fun Christmas. I hope that your new calling goes well and that you have fun on the ride!
